Are you craving sweet food right now? Here’s three healthy food options to fight off your sugar cravings.

1. Nuts

A handful of nuts such as almonds, cashews or walnuts are a great alternative to unhealthy foods because their healthy fats keep you satisfied and make you feel more full. Almonds are particularly useful as they help to control the body’s blood sugar. Nut butter is also a good thing to add to bowls of fruit or yoghurt since it’s healthy and can make your food taste nicer.

2. Yoghurt

Yoghurt is a great food to fight your sugar cravings as it’s high in protein and rich in calcium. Yoghurt is great to snack on as it helps you feel full while also having a nice taste. When choosing yoghurts be sure to pick the healthy options such as those without sugar.

3. Berries

For our last food option we have berries. Berries are a great healthy alternative to refined sugar foods. Berries are great because they naturally taste sweet while also having a low GI. Another fruit snack option is freezing grapes in the freezer. Frozen grapes are great as they’re very refreshing and feel like a frozen treat.
